BayProg.org

Welcome to BayProg, a web site of resources for San Francisco Bay Area progressive rock musicians and fans.

News

Updated June 26, 2009: Okay, I believe I've worked around two major MSIE 7 bugs that kept these pages from displaying correctly. And I took the opportunity to spiff up the style sheets and use modern CSS sprites for the menu items. So now this site should look fine on all the current major browsers. (I'm ignoring MSIE 6; it keeps updating to MSIE 7 behind my back anyway.) (Y'know, it's much easier to get a web site working correctly on an iPhone than on MSIE.) Please send me a note if you find a case where this isn't working.

New Albums

Dawson, Gravity Tree, Metaphor, Mind Furniture, Monocaine, Amy X Neuburg & Men, New Sun, Puppet Show, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Spirits Burning, Tesseract and Trap.

What is this BayProg?

BayProg is the original regional progressive rock web site, first appearing in early 1999.

The goals of BayProg are, roughly:

The BayProg web site has evolved to a pretty hefty size; it's now about 25 pages worth of good stuff.  And the BayProg email list has a little over 100 members.

I want to make BayProg as good as it can be, so please send me any news, updates, additions or corrections.

This site is now written using XHTML1.0 Strict, to be compatible with newer mobile wireless browsing devices and the newer browser standards.  As a side effect, the display will be readable but less charming in older browsers (like Netscape Navigator 4.0 for instance).  Such is life.  As always, please tell me if anything comes out badly.
